Sweet, Salty, and Slightly Unhinged: Inside Kikkoman Teriyaki Nights
Soy Sauce Ice Cream?
When Tokyo Hijacked Shoreditch.
When Tokyo came to Shoreditch...
On the 7th of May, @kikkomanuk completely took over 83 Rivington Street to bring a true taste of Tokyo straight to the heart of Shoreditch.
To celebrate the launch of Kikkoman’s brand-new Teriyaki range, we turned the venue into an unforgettable East London street party. A massive thank you to everyone who joined us and helped pull off an incredible night.
The energy was unmatched, fueled by a live DJ booth, retro arcade games, and the ultimate Lucky Cat photo wall for the perfect snapshot. Guests got an exclusive first look, and taste, of Kikkoman's versatile new Teriyaki Wok & BBQ Sauces, which were whipped up into everything from fiery street food to surprisingly delicious, soy-seasoned mocktails.
Retro Arcades, Live Beats & Sticky Sliders: Inside Kikkoman Teriyaki Nights
The absolute highlight of the night was the food, featuring a heavy-hitting menu of sticky sesame udon, Korean BBQ sliders, and legendary yakitori skewers served up by the brilliant @bighas___. And for the adventurous souls in the crowd? Kikkoman even served up soy-sauce soft serve ice-cream. Trust us, the sweet, salty, umami combo was absolutely bangin' and had everyone talking.
We loved sharing the new range with you all and bringing a piece of Japan to the block. If you missed out or just want to relive the best moments, head over to and check out the highlights at #KikkomanTeriyakiNights.
For those who were here and got stuck into the food, we have to ask: which new sauce was your absolute favourite?

Seamless Brand Activation: Fusing Culinary Innovation, Culture, and Digital Momentum
The Teriyaki Nights event at 83 Rivington Street served as a high-impact catalyst for Kikkoman’s new Teriyaki Wok & BBQ range, successfully bridging traditional Japanese flavor with the raw, high-energy pulse of East London subculture. To physically manifest the product line's ultimate adaptability, the activation discarded traditional catering conventions in favor of a boundary-pushing menu, ranging from street food staples by @bighas___ to a viral soy-sauce soft serve—proving that the range is built for total culinary experimentation. By anchoring this bold menu within an immersive street party environment complete with retro arcades and live DJ sets, the event generated immediate digital momentum and high-quality user-generated content, successfully translating an exclusive, localised physical experience into a widespread digital campaign that drove massive awareness for the UK launch.
