83 Rivington Street: LULULEMON’s London Marathon 2026
360° Marathon Hub
In April 2026, lululemon collaborated with Run Dem Crew and Mafia Moves to create a bookended brand experience for the London Marathon. By hosting both the "Final Shakeout" and the "Post-Race Blowout," the partnership captured the entire emotional journey of the runner: from the pre-race nerves on Saturday to the post-race euphoria on Sunday night.
HOMEBASE
The Strategy
To own the 2026 London Marathon weekend, lululemon and Ambassadors Charlie Dark and Andre Coggins created a "home base" at 83 Rivington Street. The activation supported runners through the three stages of the race: Preparation, Recovery, and Celebration.
Phase 1: The Saturday Shakeout
Action: A final warm-up run for all abilities.
Value: Provided exclusive lululemon T-shirts, bag drops, and expert-led warm-ups to ease pre-race nerves for hundreds of athletes.
Phase 2: The Sunday Recovery
Action: A "Deep Heat" recovery zone (5 PM – 7 PM) immediately following the race.
Value: Offered a non-ticketed sanctuary for muscle decompression and physical relief right when finishers needed it most.
Phase 3: The Post-Race Blowout
Action: A high-energy afterparty (7 PM – 11 PM) featuring pizza, drinks, and a DJ lineup (DJ Cable, Melody Kane, Mister Trouble).
Value: Created a "medals encouraged" social space, transitioning the marathon from a physical challenge into a cultural celebration.
Strategic Outcomes
Consistent Presence: By using 83 Rivington Street as the hub for both days, the brands created a ‘home base’ for runners, making the brand synonymous with the London Marathon weekend.
Cultural Credibility: Partnering with Run Dem Crew and Mafia Moves ensured the events didn't feel like corporate activations, but rather organic community gatherings.
The Full Circle: lululemon successfully supported the athlete through the entire lifecycle of the race: the start line, the finish line, and the party thereafter.
