Sobremesa by Campo Viejo

Brits spend around 30 minutes eating a meal out, and nearly a third say they often rush it. Campo Viejo set out to change that with two nights in Shoreditch built around sobremesa, the Spanish tradition of staying at the table long after the plates are cleared.

On 23 and 24 October 2026, 83 Rivington Street became a Spanish pop-up restaurant. José Pizarro brought the food, with a curated tapas menu paired with Campo Viejo wines and live music throughout.

The hook was simple: the bill dropped the longer guests stayed. They got 25% off after 30 minutes, 50% after an hour and 75% after 90 minutes. It turned a cultural idea into a reason to stay put.

A restaurant concept, a headline-ready mechanic and a chef with real Spanish credentials, all under one roof in Shoreditch.
